The Robogarden

A suburban lot located in Fort Wayne Indiana, roughly 150 ft deep by 140 ft wide, a French-inspired architectural home with a footprint of about 2500 square ft.

Hardscaping includes approximately 3,600 square feet of pavement—driveway, sidewalks, and patio.
Utilities enter the home via an easement running down the block between houses, entering the Robogarden landscape from the west at about 78 feet from the north property line, and crossing the lawn to the center of the home.
Internet Cable entering the landscape further south and following an arc to the home in the same location.
“Indigenous” (not necessarily native) plantlife includes. Two large Maple trees in the front yard (Being removed because they are in decay and dangerous to the home)
One large Maple on the north property line.
Two small shrub hedges frame the corners of the house in the front yard.
Some miscellaneous box store perennials.
One large Maple partially shades the home in the backyard, and lastly, a small crabapple near the north edge of the patio.
A lawn poorly seeded to common turf grasses.

The Landsteward (Homeowner)’s primary concerns are privacy, easy maintenance, habitat for birds and wildlife, easy annual vegetable production, and social space for family and friends.
