Hello Spring? A Reemergence!

Well, once again, I find myself tinkering with my blog space. Perhaps this time I can find myself expressing here, rather than on the deathscroll /depression pit/ cockfighting ring of social media.
Up until recently, the time wasted seemed to be valuable to my learning curve in the Permaculture space. However, today it seems that promoting events and services, rather than sharing knowledge and experience, is the norm.

I still have my favorites there, Central Michigan Permaculture, Transformative Adventures, Permaculture Institute of North America, and a couple of others. And when I have to use the utility (Messaging), I try to ignore all but these.

My feeds are filled with so much discourse that I find myself losing hope that a permanent culture is possible, a pipe dream. Feeds filled with posts from people I know locally whose views seem to attack my political headspace and refuse to even acknowledge that the pattern is at its tipping point. And those on the same wavelength as me are attacking in return.
This conundrum in my head amplified by the need to connect with all these people, somehow to actually put down roots in a culture that seems so awfully impermanent.

This really isn’t a new observation for me, and it’s definitely not the first time the divide is placing my own mental health at a tipping point. So I have all but ditched social media, again… save for the messaging services. And if you and I are connected, please feel free to contact me there. Or in a last-ditch effort to maintain connection in the breakneck world we are living in. Join me on Discord. You can find me there as Eneock the Bored, and if your place is in the Flint River Watershed, please join me in building and learning to build a Permaculture Community in a Discord communication space.
